Celebrating Our Veterans Today and Always. Pharmacist Spotlight: Tim Parsons, RPh

Veterans day is a time to reflect and appreciate those who have, and who are, serving our country. At Digital Pharmacist, we proudly recognize pharmacists who are veterans for their service and sacrifice.

This Veterans Day, we would like to honor Tim Parsons, RPh, owner of Dunne’s Pharmacy and Barry’s Drug Center in Manhattan, KS.

Captain Tim Parsons served in the Air Force from 1987 to 1993 and was stationed in Spokane, Washington at Fairchild Air Force Base. He served as a bombardier in a B-52 Stratofortress in Desert Storm.

In his B-52, an aircraft that flies at a speed of 650 miles per hour and has a wingspan that covers the length of a hockey rink, he was responsible for the targeting of aerial bombs.

After honorable discharge from the Air Force, Tim attended Washington State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1997. Shortly after graduation, he began working as a pharmacist at Barry’s Drug Center in Manhattan, KS in 1999.

In 2016, he and two other pharmacists purchased Barry’s Drug Center and Dunne’s Pharmacy, both located in Manhattan, KS. He felt compelled to establish two independent community pharmacies so he could help others and do what is right for those in his community.

To Tim and all the amazing men and women who risk their lives in service of our country, we thank you. Happy Veterans Day!
