For a long time, Facebook users have requested a "dislike" button. Wanting to avoid creating a negative environment, Facebook consistently refused to implement the feature... until now.
As a Facebook user, it’s natural to be weary of such a capability coming to fruition – especially as a business. The good news? Facebook maintains its stance against fostering negativity, and so they appear to be looking for a unique interpretation of this feature request. They’ve realized that for some content, the action of “liking” doesn’t quite fit. Instead, users need a way to express empathy.
The exact details of this new feature, in addition to when it will be released, are not yet known. What we do know is that it’s in the works.
