Digital Pharmacy Takes The Lead

Last updated Aug 2, 2022 | Pharmacy News

Recently, Alto Pharmacy announced they raised $50 million to grow their online pharmacy across the U.S. This announcement comes on the heels of PillPack.

Alto Pharmacy, formerly known as ScriptDash Pharmacy, is a San Francisco-based “digital pharmacy” that offers pharmacy services, including same-day prescription delivery, to those living in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Orange County. This next-gen pharmacy also offers a medication management mobile app.

With this new round of funding, Alto Pharmacy will be expanding and offering their pharmacy services in more cities.

Furthermore, Alto Pharmacy plans on introducing a mail-order prescription service for patients located outside of large metro areas and plan on expanding their specialty medication offering.

With the expansion of this pharmacy, Amazon’s acquisition of PillPack, and the fact the pharmacy industry is moving towards digital, it is more important than ever for independent pharmacists to find solutions that will help them overcome the challenges they face.

Particularly, pharmacies that are not embracing both digital marketing and digital tools will not be able to keep up with this ever-changing pharmacy landscape.

If your pharmacy is not digital today, we would love to help you make the digital transition. Give us a call at 877-959-7550 or email demand@digitalpharmacist.com.
