Q: How involved do I, the pharmacist, need to be when going digital?
A: It’s up to you. However, it is important to note we customize the site as much as possible to best represent your pharmacy brand. This being said, we encourage our pharmacists to send in as much detail, information and photos as possible for us to utilize in the creation of your website. After the website is created and the website goes live, you’re free to check in as much or as little as you’d like. We’ll make sure everything’s running smoothly. Some examples where you will need to check in with us, is when you need to add a new team member or add a new service or product that you want to highlight on your website. In the case you need edits made on your website, just email our support team at [email protected].
There are also aspects of your pharmacy email newsletter that you have complete control over. For example, you can create a promotional coupon at any time on the dashboard. Once created and published, your customers will see your promotion on the designated email newsletter. All they need to do to redeem it is display the promo card on their phone. We strive to create direct pharmacy-to-patient communication – no middleman, no lag time.
Q: How personalized can my website be?
A: We customize the site as much as possible to best represent your pharmacy brand. We always start with one of our templates that utilizes our best practices of web design to ensure patients can refill easily and find the information they need. Within this framework, pharmacies can personalize all the content on the website to reflect their unique service offerings. We encourage pharmacies to send in pictures of the store, staff members and products to show off what makes them special. Our team members will work with you to ensure your pharmacy is accurately represented.
Q: How do I increase the usage of my website and mobile app?
A: We encourage our pharmacists to be proactive in educating patients about their website and mobile presence.
Inform your patients that they can now conveniently refill their new prescriptions online or via the app. If you want to take that one step further, train your staff to ask patients if they would like a message sent to their phone to download your mobile app. If they say yes, your staff can utilize the easy-to-use text-to-download feature on your website. Type in the cell phone number and voilà — not only did you get another patient to download the mobile app, you now have up-to-date contact information for your patient.
You also have access to our free marketing materials to let your patients know you have gone digital. Access and easily print table tents, flyers and bag “buddies” here. For a quick download of bag “buddies” just click on the image below.
These are just a few things to get you started. We have found that a combination of these recommendations will boost success.
