The Digital Pharmacist Timeline
Early Growth
In 2012, RxWiki was founded as a part of Patient Conversation Media, an online platform for doctor-reviewed health content. More than a year later in 2013, we finalized an agreement with the NCPA to establish the Digital Pharmacist program for independent pharmacies. This paved the way for us to begin launching our first pharmacy websites in 2014.
A New Leaf
In 2017, we made some of our biggest changes yet, starting with our name. After a giant rebrand, RxWiki finally became Digital Pharmacist. Early in the same year, we also acquired some of our digital suite building blocks you see today, including Telemanager, our IVR system, and PocketRx, our mobile app. To finish the year, we partnered with Cardinal Health to power its Pharmacy Marketing Advantage program.
Moving Forward
Since then, we’ve focused on growth. In 2018, Digital Pharmacist was acquired by LA-based firm, K1 Investment Management. With K1’s commitment and generous investment, we were able to scale our operations and launch our secure 2-way messaging product in late 2019.
