Facebook ​advertising is highly targeted online marketing that happens… you guessed it, on Facebook.  Facebook is a platform that allows you to get the word out about your pharmacy for a relatively inexpensive cost. With Facebook ads, aka Digital Marketing, its primary goal is to drive traffic into your pharmacy doors.  Whether you just signed up for Digital Marketing, or you just need a refresher, this should help you be successful. 

Q: When do my Facebook ads run?

Answer: We run your campaigns on a monthly basis once you sign up with Digital Pharmacist.  Each month, we run fresh, creative and compelling ads on your behalf to drive patients to your pharmacy. 

Q: Who will see my ads?

Answer: We target your local community, targeting a specified radius, typically set 10-15 miles from your store location. This means all the right people will see your ads. The ads promote your pharmacy brand and can highlight the services you offer such as delivery, compounding or medication packaging. 

Q: Are the ads posted to my wall?

Answer: Ads are different than posts on your Facebook wall (what marketers called paid social vs. organic social). Paid ads will be displayed in the News Feed of the targeted audience thats specified, but will not necessarily be found if someone goes directly to your Facebook page. If someone is already following you on Facebook, there’s no need to waste ad money to get their attention. That can be done for free, or “organically” by posting to your Facebook wall. Those will be seen by people who already follow your pharmacy. 

Ads are able to reach a wider audience than your organic posts as they targets people in your community who are active on Facebook, but do not follow your page. 

While ads are not posted directly on your Facebook wall, you can always view current live ads under the “Info and Ads” section of your Facebook page.

Q: What services do you promote in my ads? 

Answer: We can advertise mobile downloads, your website and prescription transfers. We also can create an ad for special services and promotions and can be done upon request.

Q: How do I know that my ads are working? 

Answer:  You will receive an emailed report at the end of each campaign, which runs monthly, explaining how your ads​ performed. Lucky for you, we have this down to a science, so while you will want to keep your eyes open for the emailed report, you can rest assured you’re in good hands. 

Q: Do I still need to maintain my own Facebook page? 

Yes! We handle your Paid Social strategy, but you will still need to maintain an active role on Facebook, for non-paid purposes. We strongly encourage you to post from your page to those who are already following your pharmacy.  Facebook is meant to be an engagement platform, so engage! Stay active and involved in the conversation. Your followers will appreciate it.
